From Scratch

Today, I was inspired again by my twinnie Julia, and her From Scratch segment of her blog!
So, that being said, I decided to make some fried chicken...From Scratch!


 4 halved chicken breasts
1 tbsp of each of the following: garlic,paprika,rosemary
bread crumbs
 2 eggs
olive oil
salt and pepper

Mix the spices and the bread crumbs in a shallow container, then add a pinch of salt and pepper. Mix thoroughly. Crack and whisk the eggs together in another shallow container.

Coat a skillet with a thin layer of olive oil, and heat at medium heat while you do the following:

Dredge (big word for me I know) each chicken breast in the egg mixture, and then coat in the bread crumb mix.

 Place in the skillet, and fry for 5 minutes each side (may be longer if the breasts are thicker).

Enlist the help of your finest sous chef of course!

Place on a plate, and serve with your favorite sides! Enjoy!!!

Yum! Good for you - cooking from scratch. I just yesterday broke my very long streak of not cooking all my meals from scratch this past summer. It was just too stinking hot for me to do anything. We ate at subway a lot. Haha.'s just a tiny bit cooler and I'm back to making my yummy homemade meals and I might even fire up the oven!
