I had purchased this book a while ago, and came across a pattern for a capelet the other day!
I bought the perfect fabric combo ( a soft thin wale corduroy and a wool blend that is super soft!)

I altered the pattern (of course), and made it reversible... here is the final product! I love it!

It is a bit fancy for my neck of the woods, but I love it and I fully intend to ROCK IT!

I love it, I would definitely overlap the front though, much more warm with the weather we have here.
AND I'd use the buttons that you got, they are so pretty.
